Carl was one of the original founders of Phoenix Football and has been at the heart of the club’s journey from the very beginning. Football runs through his veins, and after many years playing the game, he now channels that passion into coaching and developing the next generation of players.
Committed to creating genuine opportunities for dedicated players, Carl is a strong advocate for equality in the women’s game. He believes every player deserves the chance to develop, compete, and reach their full potential in a supportive and ambitious environment.

Ciaran has over 20 years coaching experience, from Pre-Academy teams at Luton Town FC, to Bedfordshire Representative, Dunstable Town U18’s, Biggleswade Town, Bedfordshire University and
County Teams. It’s fair to state he is one of the top coaches in the region. Ciaran also has experience working for Bedfordshire FA.
His coaching has supported countless players achieve in the game, including Sophie Harrison (Arsenal & England U17s), Ben Chillwell (Chelsea & England), Devine Onyemachi (West Brom) and
many more. Ciaran is now pursing his UEFA badges as he builds on his substantial experience.
Gayle has been Club Secretary since 2025. She joined the committee after her daughter joined Phoenix in 2024. Gayle strives to provide opportunities for girls to play at the highest standard they can within a grassroots environment.
Gayle works in education supporting children with special educational needs and is a qualified teacher and SENCO. Her experience in her youth education provides vital expertise for the clubs decision making, which is always in the best interest of its players. Her administration skills are also excellent which helps keep all our enthusiastic coaches in check!
Michelle is a fun and bubbly committee member who is always on the hunt for sponsorship and pitch spaces. As a professional Pastorals Support Officer within education, she supports players with challenges they may face.
Michelle has a remarkable ability to drum up support for the club and raise its profile!
Sarah has been the clubs safeguarding officer since the clubs creation. A friendly and supportive committee member who is always willing to spend time dealing with issues and providing support to players and parents.
Sarah ensures coaches are DBS checked and placed on appropriate courses, always ensuring the management teams are upskilled and able to recognise issues that may arise.
